Playa Chiquita

If you haven’t visited this little hidden beach in Sosua yet, definitely check it out. This is a great place for an afternoon dip or a romantic sunset toast from the cliff. It’s tucked away right down the street from Sosua’s favorite no-tell motel/cabana, Dulce Secreto. Just follow the curve to the right and the beach entrance (unmarked) will be on your left.

The sand here is really nice and it flows down into the clear water, extending out about one hundred yards or into the water. So this is a good place to take a swim without worrying about tearing your feet up. Great place for the kids to enjoy when the water is calm.

Cliff jumping and swimming at your own risk, no lifeguards on hand. We also do not recommend staying past sunset or visiting this beach alone. It is in an isolated location and as we all know, an ounce of prevention in this country goes a long way. That said, we’ve had a lot of fun swimming, sunbathing and exploring this little spot and thought we should share it. Enjoy! Pics below :)
