Located oceanfront inside Sosua Ocean Village is Maria’s. What a little slice of heaven this place is! It’s like a mini resort tucked inside another resort… Maria’s is a full service restaurant and bar with a gigantic infinity pool, jacuzzi, and ocean front lounge areas. Evidently very few people know about this place outside of the residents and guests of Sosua Ocean Village.
To get in you will first need to purchase a day pass from the main reception desk at Ocean Village. It costs $1,500 pesos per person and provides access to the club house, waterpark and Marias. We think that is a pretty good deal on its own, but wait…As it turns out that $1,500 pesos turns into a restaurant credit the second you walk into Maria’s. So eat, drink, swim and be merry! Upon purchasing your pass the staff at Ocean Village will call for the resort transport to whisk you from reception over to Maria’s. You’ll ride in style in one of the new fancy electric shuttles, VIP treatment all the way. Click here for more information regarding the Day Pass
We showed up on a Thursday and had the entire place to ourselves. The girls working behind the fully stocked bar ( everything from Grey Goose to craft beer on draft!) did an amazing job and they were well trained in the art of free pouring drinks. The kitchen didn’t open until 4pm and that gave us just enough time to swim in the amazing pool, enjoy a “few” beverages and feel like Rock Stars. When we finally got around to ordering the food it appeared quickly and as you can tell from the photos, perfectly plated. Delicious, yummy, OMG is that good…. all of it. A+
If you are familiar with this blog you’ll know that we live by the motto “a picture speaks a thousand words” so we are going to stop yammering and just post a bunch of photos. Maria’s is a hidden gem in Sosua, it has that exclusive five star resort feel and yet it is still accessible to the general public.
